Seasonal Sip Suggestions

Image result for adobe guadalupe jardin secretoAs I invited a few friends over before the holidays, I thought I’d offer some interesting wines, spiked cider, and some Brown Sugar Bourbon (BSB). While I was at Truly Fine Wines for a benefit event for Big Brothers and Big Sisters, I picked up a bottle of this 2016 Jardin Secreto from Adobe Guadalupe. I’m a fan of red blends, and this one does not disappoint.
Put it this way – within 30 minutes my friends and I had this magnum polished off!

This wine is 65% Tempranillo, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cinsault. I do believe this wine will age well too, that’s if you have the patience not to drink it.

If you’ve not been to Truly Fine Wines, you’ll find there is quite an international flavour to their selection. I also brought home the Schlumberger Grüner Veltliner Brut from Austria, and a bottle of
Lomita Discreto Encanto from Valle de Guadalupe in Mexico.

We enjoyed many delicious wines wines that night, and the big hit was Brown Sugar Bourbon (BSB). I tasted the BSB at SommCon in San Diego last month and loved how smooth it was. Great to have on some of those chillier rainy nights here. My friends are now fans of BSB, and one of them dropped off a bottle at my door the other day.

Another drink that you might consider offering to guests, is warm cider on the stove with cinnamon sticks, and providing Caramel Vodka that guests can add. This was also a great holiday beverage choice.

Let me know what you enjoy over the holidays! All the best to you for the upcoming season and the New Year! Cheers!!
